Our Story
Tink’s Tonic was established in 2022 following Tink’s traumatic experience with a recalled formula that led to severe health complications lasting 1.5 years. Initially, Tink had achieved significant milestones, including completing two NAPA Intensives, demonstrating improved mobility, and self-feeding. However, exposure to the tainted formula resulted in drastic deterioration, necessitating emergency medical intervention, hospitalizations, and G-tube placement. This marked the beginning of an arduous 1.5-year period characterized by undiagnosed CDiff, recurrent respiratory infections, Urinary Tract Infections, seizures, and numerous ER visits. Despite recommendations for hospice care, Tink’s parents persevered. A whole foods diet was introduced, but logistical challenges arose due to limited stomach capacity. Inspired by Margaret’s inquiry about converting food into a powder, James devised a solution. Following five months of trial and error, Tink transitioned to powdered nutrition, supplemented with healthy oils, and remarkably gained seven pounds. This breakthrough led to the conception of Tink’s Tonic, with Tink’s parents committed to sharing this worldwide.
